- Thread-topic: Promoting JITP & ITP
As many of you know, Taylor & Francis is acquiring Haworth Press. This means JITP will become a T&F journal. For the last few months I have been disputing Haworth's assessment that JITP is off to a slow start. Nonetheless, for the publishers, institutional subscriptions are the gold standard, and apparently we are getting new ones too slowly. I hope this will change with the first issue coming our shortly. I am asking each and every one of you to renew your commitment to this journal. There are two new promotional documents are linked below that should make it a bit easier: 1) The JITP brochure prepared for APSA. Please print several copies of it and hand it directly to key people at your school as well as sending it via email with a personally crafted endorsement of the journal. http://www.jitp.net/files/jitp_brochure.pdf 2) The ITP insert, promoting APSA's section on ITP. Please join the section if you are an APSA member (renew if you were one). Urge colleagues working in the area of ITP to join as well. http://www.jitp.net/files/itp_insert.pdf Finally, there is the old library referral form. Print and submit this form and follow up directly with the appropriate serials librarian. It is no understatement to say that we need 100+ libraries to adopt the journal soon for T&F to take us seriously. http://www.jitp.net/files/libref.pdf If you like JITP and where we are going, now is the time, today is the day...please take action. thanks, ~Stu +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Dr. Stuart W.
