National Science Foundation "Building Effective Virtual Organizations" Workshop
Live Webcast from Washington, DC
January 15, 8am - 6pm and January 16, 8:30am - 3:30pm Eastern Time Zone, US

Virtual organizations are increasingly central to the science and engineering projects funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF), which has funded several proposals through its Engineering Directorate to promote the development of virtual organizations that encompass wide-ranging, geographically dispersed activities and groups.

If you are a researcher or educator, chances are that you if don't already lead or participate in at least one distributed team, you will soon. To help with the development and use of virtual organizations, the NSF is sponsoring a live Webcast of the workshop, "Building Effective Virtual Organizations," which will take place next week in Washington, DC on January 15-16, 2008. Remote participants will be able to submit questions via the workshop Website.

The workshop will feature talks by virtual organization veterans from academia and industry, developers of virtual organization technologies, social scientists with years of experience studying what makes virtual organizations succeed, and NSF Program Directors.  For a full agenda and information on how to attend via Webcast, see:
